Case-Mate Offers iPhone Cases Made from Recycled Plastic

The increasingly popular iPhone case manufacturer, Case-Mate has now released its latest innovation which are iPhone cases that are apparently made from 100% recycled post-consumer PET bottles. PET bottles are essentially the plastic used to produce soda or water bottles. Apparently, one plastic water bottle can make one iPhone case. Chief Executive Officer Shashi Reddy said, “As part of our greater effort to encourage more sustainable practices, we’ve introduced a line of fashionable, functional and environmentally responsible cases. By creating Case-Mate products using recycled materials, we’re helping millennials(sic) stay stlish and environmentally conscious.” The case which has been priced at $30 comes in six different colors; pink orange, green, blue, black and white. While it doesn’t offer anything particularly special besides the fact that it is an iPhone 4/4S case, it would be perfect for all the iPhone owners out there who are conscious about the environment.
