AT&T Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Close to Rolling Out?

The AT&T Galaxy Note appeared at CTIA yesterday with what seemed to be an official build of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on it. From what was promised to be a Q1 release of the OS, it was delayed with Samsung announcing that it was adding a new suite of applications that would be travelling along with the software update that brought the OS upgrade to users. The alleged delay resulted in the release date for the ICS + Premium Suite of applications update coming “sometime” in Q2. However, from the video above, we can see that the phone is running the OS so it could mean that the carrier and manufacturer are indeed working on bringing it to the people.

This news of the official version of ICS comes shortly after a leaked ICS rom was spotted for the AT&T version of the 5.3-inch sized ‘phablet’. Although we still don’t have a date for the release set in stone, the video above should put a smile on your face but one thing that might put you off is what seems to be the existence of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI which seems to make the new OS look the same as the Gingerbread one currently running on Samsung Galaxy Notes (the ones that are running official OS’ anyway).
