Acer Iconia Tab A700 Hits FCC

We saw the Acer Iconia Tab A700 in February over at CES and the tablet with its quad-core goodness didn’t fail to impress. Now apparently, it is has taken a step closer to its US launch because it was just spotted at the FCC. The Wi-Fi model is the one that got the nod of approval from the watchful folks over at the FCC and that is a good signal that Acer is working on releasing its tablets in the US as soon as possible.

For now however, there is no official launch date yet. If you have forgotten the specifications that came with the A700, it will ship with a 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a 10.1-inch screen with a 1080p HD display. From the FCC report, those two are the only specifications which are confirmed but in CES we saw that it would be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, so it is just an assumption that Acer will probably be using ICS for the American A700 as well.
