It was an odd move by Samsung to push out the update for locked Galaxy S2 devices over in the UK. Undoubtedly this did not sit well with owners of the device who might have otherwise paid a premium just to have it unlocked and not have their updates unnecessarily delayed by carriers. Either way, if you are an owner of an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S2 handset, the wait is finally over. Yup, you read that right – Samsung is now officially rolling out the highly-anticipated and much-awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to unlocked Galaxy S2 devices in the UK. Plug your device into your computer, load up Kies and you should be good to go as far as the update is concerned. Granted you guys might have preferred the update a lot earlier, but you can probably still take comfort in knowing that your device has beaten out the majority of other Android devices who have yet to receive the update.
