An entry level device by Sony reared its head up on the internet for a short time and with Sony parading its Xperia S, P and U smartphones, who would have thought the company would have the time for another smartphone. This small and budget skimming handset called the Sony Xperia ST21i showed up in two pictures and was revealed by the folks over at Techblog. It is said to run an 800MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM, a 3.2-inch 480 x 320 pixel resolution display and a 3MP rear snapper for your photographic needs. Oh yes, this device will be running Android’s latest Ice Cream Sandwich on its small and curvy body.

While the device is not one that spec-junkie would be drooling over, it does offer the features of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a more affordable device with specs that are decent. For now, there is no official word on what the smartphone will cost but according to reports, an estimated price of the device is in the region of $160. Other companies have also released budget devices such as HTC’s One V which also comes with Google’s latest Android OS but unlike this one, the One V is priced much higher.
