Samsung Trademarks another Three Names
Another day brings another batch of names up for trademark filing by Samsung. The South Korean electronics giant has filed a few more names for what could be even more additions to their arsenal of Android devices. The names that were submitted are Galaxy Lift, Galaxy Perx and Galaxy Sire. According to Samsung’s reported mobile device related strategy, the company wants to produce and manufacture phones for everybody in all shapes and sizes (the phones, not the people).
That said the phones that will be attached to most of the names that Samsung has been filing for trademark over the past few months could either be landmark devices or just run of the mill phones that truly tech savvy people would not be interested in. But it seems like covering the entire spectrum of specs and software is Samsung’s modus operandi and the company does not seem to be stopping anytime soon.
What do you think? Should they follow the examples of manufacturers like Motorola, HTC and even Apple to create just a few select models of smartphones and risk giving up a relatively smaller group of mediocre and lower range spec users?
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
