Samsung S-Cloud to Land on May 3rd with Galaxy S3? [Rumor]

A report by Korean publication Maeil Business has indicated that Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iCloud will be revealed alongside the upcoming alleged launching of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 3rd. As we have previously reported, the cloud service which might take the fight to other cloud-storage services like iCloud, DropBox and Box is expected to provide users with the ability to store content which include videos, photos and music on a server that will sync the content in question across any number of devices.

On top of that, rumors regarding the service show that it will also include access to marketplaces where movies, music and television shows can be purchased and subsequently be delivered to smartphones, laptops or tablets. The addition of S-Cloud to Samsung phones would account for 5GB for free but rumors have mentioned that any content purchased from the online retailer could be stored for free. As of now, Samsung is still yet to make an official announcement with regards to the cloud storage system but reports circulating around the interweb state that the South Korean electronics giant has teamed up with Microsoft to ensure a smooth global launch.
