Samsung Announces its Exynos 1.4GHz Quad-core For Samsung Galaxy S3
After recent news about the Samsung Galaxy S3 getting benchmarked by a third party application, Samsung has announced the processor which is to be used in the upcoming Samsung flagship phone which will have the wraps taken off it in London on May 3rd. Straight from the horse’s mouth, Samsung claims that the new 32nm 1.4GHz quad-core processor which has long been rumored to be part of the phone flaunts twice the processing power over its predecessor.
On top of that, with features like the High-K Metal Gate, it even saves up to 20% in energy and because of all of that, it fits Samsung’s wish to replicate a PC-like experience on their smartphone. Samsung is also willing to spread the love by offering the chip to manufacturers that use the older Exynos dual-core processors on its phones because this new one is apparently pin-to-pin compatible with the dual-core ones found in devices like the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note which proffers the designers a chance to update product designs at minimal costs.
