RIM Launches BlackBerry Mobile Fusion

Published

on

RIM the Canadian company responsible for the business oriented BlackBerry smartphone announced BlackBerry Mobile Fusion last November. The service from the enterprise will allow companies to manage multiple types of devices from a single, web-based interface. Today after 6 months, the company has released the service for all to use. Users will be able to make use of the service via BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry OS 7 and older, PlayBook tablets as well as a surprising addition with tablets and smartphones running either Android or iOS.

RIM has said that the service will allow IT managers from each company to activate and configure devices as well as profiles for various phones. The managers will also be given the credentials to enable access to enterprise services, deploy apps where needed and to detect jailbreaks or roots. Although it has not been widely known for BlackBerry to allow its services to be used across other platforms, the move has come out of a necessary precaution to keep their very ideal business oriented services as relevant as possible.
