For all the users on your LG Connect 4Gs making use of MetroPCS’ unlimited LTE data plan, we have bad news for you. It looks like if you decide to hang out to that unlimited plan of yours, the carrier has decided to charge you a little bit more money. Earlier today, the LTE service provider released a statement saying that they intend to increase their plans slightly with users of the no-limits LTE plan seeing a $10 a month increase to $70.

For those who want to maintain a $60 plan for LTE data, a “soft” cap of 5GB will be put in place. As for the lower and less expensive plans, the $50 and $40 ones will have caps of 2.5GB as well as 250MB respectively. A statement from MetroPCS with intention to reassure its customers says, “You shouldn’t worry, though (because) things like Facebook, web surfing, etc., should continue to be solid.” As observed by our friends over at Engadget, words like ‘should’ and ‘solid’ are a little ambiguous.
