Lumia 900 Launches with Party at Times Square on Friday

Nokia is so excited about the impending launch of the Lumia 900 this coming Sunday that they feel the need to throw a party this Friday at Times Square no less. According to a tweet from the Windows Phone retailer, Nokia will be having a big launch event for the smartphone on Friday at 7pm Eastern Time. There was not an abundance of information but as you can see in the teaser of an advertisement illustrated above, there will be a performance(s) by a person (people) who will be making a special appearance for the event.

Nokia has a history of launching parties and most fans would be able to remember the massive Lumia display that adorned an entire building as the famed dj, Deadmau5 performed beneath it. While there is no word that even signifies a repeat of that dazzling day, from all the news that has been going around about how Nokia are determined to make this launch one to remember, it not at all be surprising if they even outdid the Deadmau5 one which was for the release of Windows 7.5.
