LG Begins Rolling Out Optimus 3D Max

The South Korean electronics giant, LG has officially begun the global roll out of the Optimus 3D Max starting from Europe. One key feature of the 2^nd gen 3D smartphone is the 3D converter which allows 2D content from apps like Google Earth and Google Maps to be converted into 3D. On top of that the device will be receiving a HD converter in an alleged upcoming maintenance update. This feature will allow users to view high resolution content on their television sets through a Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL).

On top of that the smartphone will come with yet another interesting feature called the ‘Range Finder’ which calculates not only the distance between the camera and a subject which is the focal point but also the dimensions of the object in question. The LG Optimus 3D Max is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has a 4.3-inch 3D WVGA display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, a dual-lens 5MP camera, 8GB of internal storage with expansion options via a microSD card slot and the device supports HSPA+, HDMI, DLNA and NFC connectivity. When compared with its predecessor, the 3D Max is not only 2mm slimmer but it is also 20g lighter.
