Google Drive Spotted During Google+ Hangout Session

Google Drive the rumored cloud-storage service that is said to compete with apps like Dropbox, Box and the upcoming S-Cloud was spotted in a Google Hangout video (embedded above) on an Android phone. The original video was taken down by Google but the folks over at The Verge managed to save a copy for themselves.

This little leak has opened the floodgates over speculation that the cloud service could launch next week. Although the video itself is not very clear. You can make out the triangular shape in the ‘Share’ page along with the word ‘drive’ towards the end of the short video. Now with Google Drive and Samsung’s S-Cloud also rumored to be in the works, it seems that our options regarding cloud-storage have been blown wide open and like everything else, when there’s stiff competition, the eventual winners will usually be the consumers.
