Samsung Galaxy S3 gets 10 Million Pre-Orders

Just a few days after the Korean electronics giants had announced the massive success of the Galaxy Note hitting 5 million sales, a new rumor has surfaced suggesting that a total of 10 million Samsung Galaxy S3 units have been put on pre-order. Those numbers while still unconfirmed would only have been possible for a certain ‘iPhone’ in the past during the pre-s2 era but now, if the detail is true; we are looking at another possible successful handset.

What makes those figures even more impressive is that to-date, not a single specification that has been floating around has been confirmed and it is easily the most anticipated handset of the year bar only the next iPhone. The information came from the twitter account of an industry insider and a reliable source Eldar Murtazin which said “10 mln preorders for sgs3”.

While the number is enormous, the safe money is that a bulk of the orders has been from mobile operators looking to get their shelves filled with the next flagship product of Samsung. According to several allegedly trustable sources, it is important to note that Apple sold more than 1.7 million iPhone 4S smartphones in just 3 days and just an added footnote, it might be interesting to see what numbers the S3 hits in the same margin of time.
