Barnes & Noble Nook eReader Shipping Early

Earlier today, Barnes & Noble announced that its new Nook Simple Touch eBook reader will be shipping ahead of schedule. The eReader which is to have the new “GlowLight” display will apparently be making its way to retailers over the coming week. Even with the Amazon’s Kindle posing a real threat to Nook eReader’s sales numbers, the device which was unveiled earlier this month seems to have brought many positive responses.

The “GlowLight” display which is the unique selling point of this upcoming eReader is said to allow usage of the eReader in the dark without sacrificing clarity of the E Ink display or waking up your partner in the middle of the night and causing arguments. The company stated that due to the high demand for the upcoming eReaders, those who pre-ordered the devices will ship in time for Mother’s Day. In other news, Amazon is also planning to launch its own front-lit eReader over the coming months. On top of that the company responsible for the Kindle is planning on launching a new model with a color E Ink display.
