Asus Transformer Prime GPS Dongles Are Now Available

After the much publicized GPS related issues with the Transformer Prime tablets, the company had assured users that it would be releasing GPS dongles which would fix the reception issue on the Asus tablet. The reason for the poor reception was blamed on the slate’s all-metal design. Now Asus has confirmed that the GPS dongles called the TF201 GPS Extension Kit have been launched and some might already be reaching your doorstep as we speak. If you haven’t already yours and your Transformer Prime is still facing issues like this, you might want to head on over to Asus’ support site and register your tablet as soon as possible. In related news, Asus’ new Transformer Pad 300 is not likely to mimic the problem which required the GPS dongle since Asus has ditched the all-metal casing for one of sturdy plastic. Some might say it may add a bit of a “cheap” element to the tablet, but it is so far proving to be effective and also a bit lighter.
