Sony Xperia MT27i Pepper promo shot briefly leaked onto website

The Sony MT27i “Pepper” device has been floating around for a while now, but oddly enough the phone failed to make an appearance at MWC. However it seems that Sony Mobile China got ahead of themselves and a photo of the device made its way onto their website (as pictured above), giving us a bit more information about the device, such as support for NFC and Sony’s smart tags.

As far as its specs are concerned, while nothing official has been announced, leaked specs have revealed that the Sony “Pepper” will sport a 3.7” display, a 1GHz dual-core processor under its hood with 512MB of RAM. We still have no idea when we will be able to see the device, but if Sony has started getting it ready to make an appearance on their websites, we’re hoping that it won’t be too long before the device will finally make its official appearance.
