Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD stops by the FCC

Back in January during CES, AT&T announced the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD, which was basically an upgrade over the regular Skyrocket. Unfortunately at that point in time, there was no word on its release date, but the device was recently spotted at the FCC (interestingly with NFC on board as well) so here’s hoping that it is now a step closer to seeing an official release on AT&T’s network.

For those who might have missed the news or who might have forgotten, the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with a 4.65” Super AMOLED 1280×720 display, 4G LTE support, but unfortunately it was not mentioned if the device would be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread or if it will be seeing an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by the time it hits the shelves. Either way we will be keeping an eye out for this, so be sure to check back with us later for further updates.
