Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G arrives on T-Mobile 21st March
A couple of weeks ago, we reported that T-Mobile had officially announced the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, but unfortunately apart from a vague release time frame in March, no specific dates were mentioned. Well the good news for would-be owners of the device is that T-Mobile has revealed that the 21st of March will be the day that the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will go on sale in select stores, and will see a nationwide and online launch come 28th of March, so those dates might be worth marking down in your calendars.
For those who missed the initial announcement, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will sport a 3.97” Super AMOLED display, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 5MP rear-facing camera capable of 720p HD video capture, a 1.3MP front-facing camera and will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board. The device will also be able to take advantage of T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network.
The device will be priced at $149.99 in-store after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years. All that we can do now is to sit tight and wait for the real deal to surface.
