Samsung Galaxy owners get free 90-day Norton Mobile Security subscription

Our smartphones are subject to both theft and malware, and having some form of protection is always a good idea. Now the good news for Samsung Galaxy owners is that Samsung has announced all Galaxy owners will be given a complimentary 90-day subscription to Norton Mobile Security through Samsung Apps. Granted it’s only a 90-day protection plan, but we guess it’s better than nothing, right? Besides if you find the service incredibly helpful, you can always continue paying for the subscription after the trial has expired.

For those unfamiliar with the Norton Mobile Security app, it basically allows users to remotely track, lock and wipe your phone in the event it gets stolen or lost, and will also scan files and app updates, and SD cards to make sure that there are no malware threats, and immediately removing any threats when identified to prevent further damage to your device. If this sounds like the app for you, the Norton Mobile Security app is available from the Samsung Apps under the “Utility” category. Once the 90-day period is up, you can choose to renew your protection at $29.99 per year.
