Nook Tablet gets CyanogenMod 9 early alpha port

Good news Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet owners, if you’ve been looking forward to seeing Android 4.0 make it onto your device, you will be pleased to hear that a group of developers have managed to port CyanogenMod 9 onto the Nook Tablet, but unfortunately at the moment it appears to be in its early alpha stages which means that you’ll probably not want to use it as a daily/nightly build and that you should expect a ton of bugs.

At the moment, WiFi, audio, video, touch, storage and accelerometer functions have been reported to be working, but the microphone and hardware video acceleration is still a no go, which means that Netflix and HD YouTube videos will not be available on the tablet for now. There have also been reports of the tablet falling asleep and failing to wake up after, and the only workaround is to reboot the device. However if you’re interested in checking it out, pop on over to the XDA forums for more information. Once again, proceed at your own risk!
