To our friends and readers in South Korea, if you have been meaning to get your hands on the LG Optimus Vu, it seems that the device is now available in your country. It will be available on SK Telecom and LG U+ networks, but unfortunately no word on international availability just yet. However the good news for early adopters of the device is that the first 40,000 people to purchase the Optimus Vu will be getting an additional battery and a case, although it will be limited to the first 20,000 for SK Telecom and 20,000 for LG U+ customers.

For those who might have missed the news or who might have forgotten, the LG Optimus Vu is the company’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy Note, sporting a 5” 1024×768 IPS display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor under its hood with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and an 8MP rear-facing camera with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, although an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is expected in the near future. Like we said earlier, there is no word on its availability stateside just yet although some are saying that Verizon is eager is to get their hands on it, especially since the Galaxy Note was launched on their rival AT&T’s network.
