If you were looking forward to the LG Optimus 3D Max, you might not have to wait much longer as the device has recently been given Global Certification Forum approval. The device has been given approval for quad-core GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz frequencies, EDGE class 12 and HSDPA category 14. No specific release dates have been mentioned so far, but given its GCF approval, some have speculated it could be seeing a release any time between April to June and will most likely hit Asian markets first.

For those who might have missed MWC 2012 earlier this year in February, that was when the LG Optimus 3D Max was unveiled. The device features a 1.2GHz TI OMAP processor with 1GB of RAM, dual 5MP rear-facing cameras capable of capturing 3D photo and video, 16GB of internal storage and will come preinstalled with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. No word on when we can see Android 4.0 arrive for the device, but it is safe to assume the Android 4.0 update will eventually make its way onto the phone.
