Microsoft has intended its upcoming operating system, Windows 8, to not only serve as a desktop operating system, but will function as a tablet operating system as well. So far Microsoft has released previews of the upcoming operating system and it seems that it has been met with a lot of enthusiasm so far, and we’re sure that some of you guys out there are probably looking forward to getting your hands on a Windows 8 tablet in the future as well, so who will be the first to the market?

Apparently Lenovo, if the reports are to be believed, plans to be the first company to be bringing Windows 8 tablets to the market, and the company is expecting Windows 8 to start shipping in October despite Microsoft having yet to announce a release date of the operating system apart from a vague 2012 timeframe. Unfortunately details are a bit scarce at the moment, but apart from its Windows 8 platform, the alleged Lenovo tablet will also be powered by an Intel processor. In any case, be sure to check back with us from time to time as we keep you updated!
