So much for the official announcement yesterday that the new iPad can be turned into a personal hotspot. It seems that at the moment, AT&T who will be offering the new iPad claimed that they will not support the Personal Hotspot feature. Verizon might just do so, touting that Personal Hotspot will be part of their monthly data plan price structure. I suppose if you are going to pick up the iPad from AT&T, then there is no way to tether your notebook to take advantage of a 4G LTE connection, other than a jailbreak, of course. International carriers should not have any issue with 4G LTE support, and Verizon will most likely walk down that route as mentioned earlier. Would Personal Hotspot support make or break your new iPad purchase when it comes to the choice of carriers?
