iPad 2 versus third-generation iPad in drop test

What do you do when you’ve gotten yourself a brand new iPad? Drop it? Well, that’s what some folks have decided to do in a comparison of durability between the iPad 2 and the third-generation iPad. The video very cringeworthy and it basically shows both iPads dropped from waist and shoulder heights, and surprisingly it seems that the iPad 2 sustained less damage compared to it successor. Then again we can hardly call these sort of tests “scientific” nor “conclusive”, but it is still relatively entertaining although we’re guessing that it’s probably not for everyone, especially if you don’t like seeing gadgets and electronics destroyed in tests like these. In any case it doesn’t really take a genius to figure out how much damage a tablet will take when dropped from shoulder height directly onto its face.
