Apple released the iOS 5.1 update on the day they announced the new iPad, and for those unfamiliar, iOS 5.1 is supposed to help solve the battery woes that have been plaguing iOS users ever since iOS 5.0 was released. Unfortunately that might not have been the case. According to reports, there have been cases where iOS 5.1 has failed to accurately inform the user of the amount of battery they have left. For example it might only show a 7% battery drop after 1 1/2 hours of usage, but out of the blue, it would suddenly drop to 50%, which means that for some iOS users out there, attempting to gauge how much battery life they have left might be a near impossible task! We have yet to hear from Apple if they have plans to address this issue, but hopefully it will be soon! Any of our readers out there who are currently experiencing anything similar to the situation described above after updating to iOS 5.1?
