Google has recently announced Google Maps 6.5 for Android that will be bringing a host of new features and improvements, for starters they have redesigned the Navigation home screen for Android 4.0+ allowing users to easily enter a new destination or to select from recent or favorites simply by swiping left or right. Higher-end Android devices will also be able to benefit from the updated maps which are apparently crisper for higher resolution devices, showing off better color contrasting and supposedly is a lot more faster when attempting to pan, zoom and twist.
