Could retina-display apps for new iPad bury the 16GB model

The new wave of retina-display optimized apps does not bode well for the enthusiastic buyers of the 16GB new iPad. The up and coming apps designed to accommodate the 2048 x 1526 Retina display will be gigantic in size and will most definitely take up much of free space that is given. After deducting the space that is taken up by the OS and the stock apps provided, the user will only be left with 14GB for additional apps.

Not only that, but as far as the stock apps go, even they have become larger exponentially to ensure a blessed experience when using this beautiful device. However if  you own the 16GB model, it would be good to know that apps that come loaded with the new iPad have doubled and in some cases like the iMovie video editing suite have become more than 5 times bigger in space.

If we go along the same line of logic, the stock apps, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, iMovie and the OS itself, your 16GB which has become 13-14GB which can be filled up instantly with one or two 1080p movies and you have yourself a very expensive albeit beautiful movie experience with nothing else to enjoy.

As far as our friends over at T3 go, the 16GB new iPad is only really suitable for simple applications such as an e-book or web browsing for the majority of users. However should a person not mind rotating the contents of their device based on their needs at that point in time, the new iPad might prove to be more useful although it might be a bit of a hassle. We can only offer a conclusion that the more people are aware about this predicament, the more people will be aiming to purchase the top-end 64GB model simply for the sake of convenience which is what technology is about anway.
