Can we expect iOS 6 to launch on June 11? [Rumor]

The next version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 6 could rear its head in June after online sources report that the date for WWDC 2012 has already been set. Cult of Mac have stated that the Moscone Center in San Francisco which has been to be Apple’s choice venue for launch events has been booked up for a week starting from June 11.

When the listing notes for the event were checked the booking was registered as a “corporate event” but all signs of repetition from past years point to Apple CEO Tim Cook taking the stage for their annual developers’ conference. For example, last year Apple announced iOS 5 which was available hand in hand with the launch of the iPhone 4s in October so the safe money would be that in June we will be getting a look at iOS 6.

WWDC 2011 also saw Apple highlight the completed version of Mac OS X 10.7 and with their new OS, Mountain Lion already announced, it’s another release just waiting to happen. Past WWDV events have seen Apple introducing new iPhones but last year, Apple broke away from their habit and decided to announce its iPhone 4s later than expected, in October
