While it seems that newer and older tablets have yet to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, a kid’s tablet by Archos, dubbed the Child Pad, has been launched with Android 4.0 on board. Designed for kids in mind, the Child Pad is priced at an affordable $129 and will sport a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, a Kids App Store powered by AppsLib, 28 kids apps preloaded, such as Angry Birds, Pig Rush and Flight Frenzy, and comes with parental controls built in. Not the most powerful Android tablet we’ve seen, but it should be good enough for your kids at least, and should be able to keep them occupied and keep their grubby paws off your more expensive tablets. The Archos Child Pad is expected to go on sale in stores by the end of March.
