So we know that Apple is currently trying to get their nano SIM standard off the ground, but what exactly does it look like, and what can we expect to see should it get approved? Well the good folks over at The Verge have managed to get their hands on a photo of the nano SIM, and based on what we’re looking at, Apple’s design of the nano SIM does not appear to differ too greatly from the micro SIM standard which might result in problems when users accidentally attempt to insert a nano SIM into a micro SIM slot, resulting in the SIM card possibly getting stuck. This is one of the reasons that Nokia is claiming why Apple’s nano SIM standard should not be adopted. In any case, the ETSI is expected to vote this week and make their decision, so check back with later for more updates and see who will emerge the victor and the designer of a possibly new SIM standard of the future.
