One of the touted features of Apple’s new iPad is that it will come with 4G LTE connectivity. Unfortunately while that is certainly a feature to look forward to as far as US residents are concerned, not many countries around the world have yet to roll out 4G LTE coverage which is why a German consumer protection group has recently filed a suit against Apple and are charging them with false advertising. Apparently this move has prompted Apple to adjust the technical specifications of the new iPad for countries outside of Germany and the US to more appropriate ones. However it should be noted that Apple did indicate that the new iPad would run on non-4G networks if 4G wasn’t available albeit in rather fine print.
