Another Galaxy SIII rumor surfaces
For all you fans who are probably tired of reading rumor after rumor about the latest upcoming Samsung flagship product, we have another not so juicy rumor for you. Our friends over at GSMArena received a tip from one of their readers that basically said that the Samsung I9300 will be hitting the stores in mid-May this year. According to them, most people would assume that the I9300 model name suggests that it could be the Samsung Galaxy SIII but it turns out the phone was actually called the Galaxy M in the order system.
Given our susceptibility to conspiracy theories (I kid), this could either be a ruse to throw us off the scent or it could just be a new handset called the Galaxy M. When you put what we learned about Samsung’s newly changed naming scheme into practice though, the Galaxy M name was reserved for middle of the road devices and this puts the leaked image from a few days ago into perspective.
The device pictured above courtesy of GSMArena never looked like it could be the flagship device and does resemble a device on the middle of the board which is well deserving of the name Galaxy M. If the information our counterparts received is correct, we are only a month and a half away from the purported phone hitting the shelves which means that we are only a month and a half away from finding out if this in fact is either the Galaxy S III or not.
