Angry Birds Space now available

Ladies and gentlemen, if you’ve been eagerly anticipating the launch of Angry Birds Space, the good news is that the wait appears to be over. Rovio has officially announced that the game is now available for the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Android devices alongside Mac and PC versions.

The game will feature 60 new levels and will introduce a variety of new gameplay functions, characters and more, and additional content can be purchased through in-app purchases and has even been optimized for the new iPad’s Retina display. For those interested, the Mac version of the game is available for $4.99 via the Mac App Store, while iOS devices like the iPhone and iPod touch can expect to pay $0.99, while the iPad version will go for $2.99.

Android owners get access to a free version of the game but can expect to see ads within in, although an ad-free version will go for $0.99 from the Android Market while a HD version for Android tablets will retail for $2.99.
