12 new levels on Angry Birds Rio update

Just a while after the release of Angry Birds Space, Rovio has shown that they have not forgotten about the earlier releases of their franchise by releasing an update that contains 12 new bonus levels which can be unlocked via in-game achievements. The changelog for Angry Birds Rio version 1.4.4 contains changes such the 12 new bonus levels, a hint to unlock the bonus levels by finishing the game and collecting all the fruit.

They end the log by saying that this update is not the final update that will be released. As you can tell by that final part of the log, Angry Birds Rio has not been left stagnant by Rovio even after the record-breaking release of the anticipated Angry Birds Space. It will be interesting to see how Rovio intends on keeping the movie themed version of Angry Birds relevant and playable.
