ZTE Orbit Windows Phone announced

For those who would like to get their hands on a Windows Phone device, heads up as ZTE has recently taken the wraps off the ZTE Orbit. This release of the Orbit will make it the company’s second Windows Phone handset after the ZTE Tania which was announced last year.

In terms of specs, it’s not an overly powerful smartphone, probably due to Microsoft keeping a rather tight leash on hardware specifications, and also because Windows Phone at the moment does not require a lot of power in order to function. This means that users can expect to find a 1GHz single-core processor under the hood and 512MB of RAM accompanying it.

It will sport a 4” WVGA 800×480 display, 4GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and will feature WiFi, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 and NFC connectivity options. Expect it to be made available in Q2 2012. [Press release]
