Verizon employee auctioning off limited edition Droid RAZR MAXX

A while back we reported that Verizon was selling limited edition Motorola Droid RAZRs to their employees. As far as its internals are concerned, it will remain exactly the same as its consumer counterpart, with the main difference being that the battery door will come in a limited edition red color and will feature a four digit number etched onto it, signifying its limited stock.

At the time of reporting, we mentioned that the limited edition handset will only be available to Verizon employees but we did not rule out the possibility of an enterprising Verizon employee buying it and then auctioning it off. Well it looks like that predication came true and one such Verizon employee is currently auctioning off their limited edition Droid RAZR MAXX on eBay.

The phone has yet to be released, but the seller promises to send it as soon as he receives it which is on the 2nd or 3rd of March.
