Ubisoft might be looking more into mobile gaming this year

Ubisoft, the publisher behind games like Assassin’s Creed might be looking at taking mobile gaming a bit more seriously in 2012. We know that handheld gaming has shifted a bit of its focus towards the mobile industry as opposed to gaming consoles like the PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS, and thanks to recent domain name registrations by Ubisoft, it looks like the publisher could be stepping up their efforts.

The company has recently registered Ubisoftmobile.com and Ubisoft-mobile.com, and while these aren’t confirmations that we will be seeing more mobile gaming titles by Ubisoft this year, it certainly does look that way. What do you guys think? Looking forward to seeing more of Ubisoft’s PC/Xbox 360/PS3 games ported over onto iOS or Android devices?
