Two mysterious Samsung tablets receive WiFi certification

There are rumors circulating that Samsung could be unveiling a 11.6” tablet at MWC 2012, and thanks to recent WiFi Alliance certifications handed to Samsung, it would seem that even if Samsung does not have a quad-core 11.6” tablet to unveil at MWC 2012, they definitely have some tablets planned. The models that have received the WiFi certification are the GT-P3100 and the GT-P5100.

Both models are listed as smartphones, but if Samsung’s habit of naming their devices is any clue, models that feature the GT-P7 model number are part of the tablet category, so while these models deviate from the typical naming pattern, it’s pretty close! Of course this is pure speculation for now, and who knows perhaps these are indeed smartphones instead of tablets, but until they have been revealed we’ll try to keep the guessing and speculation down to a minimum.

Either way there is a good chance Samsung could be unveiling these devices at MWC 2012 which will take place towards the end of February, so check back with us then for coverage and more info.
