There have been rumors that RIM is planning to release the Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 update on the 21st of February. So far they have merely been rumors, and as much as we’d love to see the update hit the tablet, it’s hard to take the rumor as a truth some times. However the good news is that the 21st of February date has apparently been confirmed by none other than RIM themselves. This was discovered during the Developing Native Games with the Blackberry NDK 2.0 webcast where a developer asked RIM about the OS 2.0 release schedule, to which RIM replied that they were planning on releasing the update come 21st February! So for now until proven otherwise, the 21st of February is still a good date and might be a date Playbook owners will want to mark down on their calendars.
