If you’re in the market for a new Android smartphone, LG has recently announced the LG Optimus LTE Tag, which is basically the original Optimus LTE with NFC support that when paired with the LG NFC tag+, will turn your phone into car mode which will enable the navigation system and can also be programmed to enable Bluetooth, GPS and to raise the volume, all of which we’re guessing will help to promote driving with a handsfree kit.

As far as its specs are concerned, the LG Optimus LTE will come with a 4.3” 800×480 WVGA display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor under the hood, a 5MP rear-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, LTE connectivity, a 1,700mAh battery and will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, although an update to Android 4.0 is expected in the future.

Unfortunately at the moment, the LG Optimus LTE Tag is available only in South Korea and will be seeing a launch by the end of the month. No word on if and when LG has plans to bring the LG Optimus LTE Tag stateside, but it will be priced at ₩800,000 (~$710).
