If you thought that Huawei was all about the low-end or budget smartphones/tablets, you might be in for a surprise come MWC 2012. The company is set to unveil its fastest smartphone yet which will be part of its Diamond series. This handset is supposedly the Huawei Ascend D1 Q, with the D indicating the Diamond series, and some are speculating that the Q could stand for “quad-core”. At the moment Huawei’s best phone in its stable is the Ascend P1 S, which sports a dual-core processor, so a quad-core processor does make a little sense if the Ascend D1 Q is to be the company’s fastest smartphone.
Apart from the Ascend D1 Q, Huawei is also reportedly set to launch the MediaPad 10, the 10” successor to the 7” MediaPad tablet. Details on the device are scarce at this point, so check back with us during MWC 2012 for more information.
