With 2012, it looks like HTC are kicking things off in a big way in the form of their HTC One series of Android handsets. This will be HTC’s new lineup for 2012, and if you were in the market for an Android smartphone with a quad-core processor, then perhaps the HTC One X might be a phone worth considering.

The device had its specs and images leaked all over the internet, and has also seen many name changes along the way, but it looks like the HTC One X moniker is here to stay. The device will be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor and has been clocked at a speedy 1.5GHz. It will also come with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which will be further complemented by a free two year’s subscription to DropBox’s storage service of 25GB.

The One X will also come with a 4.7” Super LCD2 with a 720p HD resolution and will be made with Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The phone will also sport an 8MP rear-facing camera with a f2.0 lens and dual-shutter mode, allowing the user to capture both video and photographs simultaneously. It will also feature a “smart flash” that will be able to automatically adjust five levels of power to prevent images from being too washed out.

The HTC One X is expected to see a global launch alongside its One S and One V siblings this April with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. No word on pricing, but check back with us as we will be keeping you updated!
