While Samsung will not be holding a media event come MWC 2012, it looks like HTC may very well steal the show. According to rumors, HTC is set to unveil the HTC Endeavor (formerly known as the HTC Edge), a device that has been rumored to be the company’s, and possibly the world’s first, Android smartphone to sport a quad-core processor under the hood. The device popped up on our radars back in November of 2011 along with what appeared to be a rendering of the phone, and while the specs of the device remain hazy at the moment, the rumors are saying that the phone will be powered by none other than NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor, the same processor that is currently powering the ASUS Transformer Prime Android tablet.
The device is also said to feature a 4.7” display with 720p HD resolution, an 8MP rear-facing camera and will most likely come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich loaded. We know that HTC has acknowledged that their performance last year was not up to standard and that they will be focusing on quality, not quantity, for 2012, and what better way to kick start the new year with a beast of a phone, right? Once again, no official confirmation was been given so we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now, but fret not as we will get our hands on more details surrounding the device come MWC 2012, so check back with us then!
