HTC could be working on a music streaming service

We’re not sure what the demand for music streaming is on our smartphones, but if such a feature sounds like something you’d be interested in, recent rumors are suggesting that HTC could be launching a service of their own which presumably will be an exclusive feature only for HTC devices.

The streaming service is said to be offered as a default music client on upcoming HTC smartphones and tablets, with Beats Audio’s Jimmy Iovine reportedly playing an important role in all of this. Not surprising given that he is the chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M. If this is true, it looks like HTC has quite a number of things up their sleeves for MWC 2012, which at the moment includes the rumored quad-core HTC Endeavor, the HTC Ville, rumors of a HTC Speak feature that could compete against Apple’s Siri, and now this music streaming service.

At the moment everything is pretty much up in the air, but with MWC 2012 a little over a week away, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to find out what’s real and what isn’t. Check back with us again during the event for more info!
