HTC admits their devices are not up to par, will focus on quality in 2012

We’re sure that HTC has its fans, which we expect grew a lot more when the handset manufacturer started to offer a bootloader unlocking tool for their Android devices. Unfortunately the handset manufacturer seems to think that their phones were under performing and has admitted as much, and that they might have spread themselves out a little too thin by releasing a steady stream of devices throughout 2011.

The good news for HTC fans is that come 2012, the company has shifted its focus to fewer smartphones, but at the same time focusing on the quality of the smartphones that they will be releasing. Ultimately this could result in HTC smartphones with 4G LTE capabilities without any compromise on its quality. While the company declined to name or detail specifics of what sort of devices they will be releasing this year, if the rumors of the HTC Ville and the quad-core HTC Edge are to be believed, it looks like HTC will be kickstarting 2012 with some pretty interesting and powerful handsets.
