Just last month Eric Schmidt had said that Google has been working on a tablet and the consumers will be able to see this tablet within six months. Now, an analyst from DisplaySearch named Richard Shim is saying that this tablet which Eric talked about might be a 7″ tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 800 resolution and will be directly competing with the Kindle Fire with a price tag of $199. All the devices released by Google till now including the Nexus line have been high end trend setting devices, are they trying to break away from that pattern? Because there is no possible way that a $199 would have great specs to compete with the quadcore tablets out there. Anyways we are hoping that this device shows itself at the Google I/O with some Jelly Bean on it.
