While Xiaomi might be making a name for themselves over in China, it looks like the company has their sights set for Japan. If you’re a resident in Japan and you’re in the market for a new tablet, Xiaomi might have the answer for you in the form of the eden TAB. The tablet is expected to go on sale next week and will retail for ¥29,800 (~$375). The tablet will be shipped with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, but fret not as there are plans to bring it up to Android 4.0 in the near future, although no specific dates were mentioned. As far as the rest of its specs are concerned, the eden TAB will sport a 7” WXGA display and will be powered by Samsung’s S5PC210 dual-core processor that has been clocked at 1.2GHz. It will also feature 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and will sport WiFi connectivity. Unfortunately it does not appear that Xiaomi has plans to launch the eden TAB stateside at this point in time.
