Aura Slate tablets designed for the hacker in mind

Are you a hacker looking forward to getting your hands on an Android tablet? While most manufacturers would prefer if you did not mess around with their devices, Aura Design seems to welcome it, claiming that “Mischief encouraged, Hackers welcomed.” The company has recently released two tablets under the Aura Slate brand in the form of a 10” version and a 7” version, and while its specs aren’t too clear at this point, it appears that both tablets will feature Gorilla Glass displays and ARM Cortex A9 processors clocked between 800MHz-1GHz.

They aren’t exactly speed demons and will most likely not live up to the higher-end tablets, but for $139 for the 7” model, it seems pretty affordable, and best of all the Aura Slate tablets will be shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Not too shabby right? For more information on the Aura Slate tablets, head on down to its website.
